Welcome to Trash Your Bible! We're so glad you're here and ready to journey with us. Here is your guide to getting started on your TYB Journey!
WHY TRASH YOUR BIBLE?
Trash Your Bible is all about you loving, engaging with, encountering and being immersed in the Word of God.
We are a book by book Bible study going through both the Old and New Testaments to give you a solid foundation in the historical context, themes and theology found in each book. Our passion is to see everyone having personal encounters with the Word of God and being equipped to go deeper into the topics, themes and promises in the Bible.
HOW TO GET STARTED
1.GRAB A FRESH, NEW BIBLE
Start the journey with a fresh new bible, without markings or notes, and get ready for new revelations.
2. choose your journey
Our program is about you being immersed in your Bible, and we believe the best way to do this is to read it one book at a time. We have set up two ways that you can do this.
Follow our TYB SCHEDULE
We've put together a program that journeys through the Bible by jumping in and out of the Old and New Testament. This is a great way to get a balanced look at both Testaments. You can start from the beginning of the TYB schedule and go at your own pace or join us as we update each book live to the site, by subscribing here.
CHOOSE WHICH BOOK YOU WANT TO STUDY
Choose any book that you want to learn more about and immerse yourself in that book for however long you like - a week, a month. You can start searching for a book here
3. WHAT DO WE GIVE YOU TO HELP YOU GET THE MOST OUT OF EACH BOOK?
Now that you have chosen the way you are going to journey, this is how TYB works. Click on the book you want to read. Begin your journey in Part One. Watch the first Snapshot video to get you started on who wrote the book and a brief history of what the book is about. Start reading the book at your own pace. As you read highlight what jumps out at you, key scriptures and words. Then read the Dive to help you find the themes in the book, and if you are up for it read the Deep Dive to have a look at the theology found in the book. Keep repeating this process until you have worked your way through all the Parts and you feel like you have ‘trashed’ your way through the book.
Once that book is done, start a new book and repeat the adventure all over again.
4. EXTRA HELP
We have provided below some books and videos to give you some extra help to get the most out of your Bible reading time.
Please feel free to contact us and ask us any questions that will help you on your journey.
